From Oporto take A4 (motorway) to Amarante. Once in Amarante take N101 (national road) in direction to Lamego passing through Peso da Régua before. From Lamego take N226 to Sernancelhe. The manor house – Casa da Comenda de Malta is located in N229 road, just in the town centre of the village. Arriving at the town centre take as reference a north: the Church From Lisbon take A1 to Coimbra exiting when you see the signpost for IP3 in direction to Viseu. From here follow the road N229-2 passing through Satão and Aguiar da Beira villages. Finally, you will find the historical village of Sernnancelhe where is located Casa da Comenda de Malta.

Located in the heart of the historical centre of the village, and surrounded by some of the oldest and most beautiful monuments of the region, the Casa da Comenda is a fine example of the 17th century architecture. Its history is related to the development of the Military Order of Malta, established at Sernancelhe at the beginning of our nationality, The Casa da Comenda having been its last shelter.
